THINGS TO DO FOR KIDS ON ISLAY

On Islay there are hundreds of things that children can do. 

• You can go horse riding at Ballivicar Farm and pony trekking at Sanaigmore Farm.

• You could go to Machrie Golf Course for a round of golf.

• Wild Islay Birding Tours are a great favourite with the tourists.

• Islay Sea Adventures take people for tours around the coast of Islay, searching for wildlife and for a change to admire the stunning scenery. You will see a lovely photo taken on a boat.

• At Persabus Pottery you can paint your own piece of pottery, have it fired then take it home as an ornament or use it.

• Walk Islay take people on walking tours to some of Islay's many places of interest.

• You can go fishing on Islay's many lochs but remember you may need permission or a permit first.

• Islay has many beautiful beaches for you to enjoy.  Kilnaughton beach is  near Port Ellen as is the White Hart beach, this beach is good for swimming.  Machir bay can be found on the road to Gruiniart.

• Small play parks can be found in most villages but there is a really good part in Port Charlotte called Port Mor Park.  It has things for children of all ages to play on.
